Italian textile machinery participates in Istanbul ITM

Given the global importance of Türkiye's textile and clothing industry, Türkiye is a major trading partner for textile machinery manufacturers. In terms of Italian textile machinery industry, Türkiye ranks second in the foreign market. In 2023, Italian textile machinery exports will reach 183 million euros.

Therefore, the importance of the Türkiye market to Italian machinery manufacturers justifies their participation as exhibitors in the ITM Industrial Trade Fair to be held in Istanbul from June 4 to 8, 2024.

In addition to numerous Italian companies that have their own booths or participate in ITM through agents, there are also 16 companies that will be exhibited in the regions organized by the Italian Trade Bureau and ACIMIT (Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association) (MA Hall, M004 booth). The Italian Pavilion will host the following ACIMIT affiliated members: Bematic, Kairos, Macchine Car ù, Martex, Noseda, Ommi, Pafasystem, Pinter Caipo, Proxima, Ramina, Ratti, Sicam, Siltex, Testa, and Ugolini.

Marco Salvad è, chairman of ACIMIT, commented: "The Italian textile machinery industry has a deep tradition of cooperation with Türkiye's textile manufacturers. From 2011 to 2023, the local textile industry has invested about 80 billion dollars in new technologies, which often involve the acquisition of Italian machinery. In fact, Italy is one of the main technology suppliers of local textile manufacturers, alongside Germany and China."

"We want to strengthen our leadership position in the Türkiye market," Sarwad added. "This is partly due to the latest technological development proposed by Italian machinery manufacturers, especially the digitalization of production processes, which has improved efficiency and optimization. I am sure ITM visitors will be able to find the most appropriate solution in our exhibitors' booths to improve the competitiveness of Türkiye's textiles."
